Associate Client Strategist

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

As an Upward Associate Client Strategist, you’ll be at the heart and soul of the amazing work we produce daily for our loyal clients. Leading client marketing efforts, this key position seeks an individual with the ability to execute marketing strategies, coordinating all aspects of a project, ongoing program, or campaign. Most projects start with a digital-first mindset, but connect tactics that engage people both online and offline – out where they live, work and play. The ideal candidate will possess a digital marketing mindset, strategic capabilities, excellent client management skills, be a strong communicator/presenter and have the ability to create proactive ideas that help drive our clients’ businesses upward. 
 


Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead client and agency teams, working together to create exceptional results
  • Support Client Strategists on execution of key account strategies
  • Work with clients to understand/define strategic goals and objectives, and effectively articulate those back to the agency teams supporting the work
  • Oversee client projects from start to finish, including the development and maintenance of project management tools and documentation: quotes, proposals, scope documents, creative briefs, status sheets, progress reports. 
  • Provide key insight and direction to drive the quality and performance of the project and client portfolio supported
  • Manage project and client profitability throughout the course of an engagement


Attributes + Qualifications:

  • Candidate will have 3+ years of experience in an agency-related environment
  • Strong critical thinking, written communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated | takes personal accountability for work quality and client satisfaction
  • Strategic and marketing/communication expertise
  • Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a diverse team environment
  • Experience leading digital and integrated marketing programs is a plus
  • Tech-savvy
  • Degree in marketing or communications is preferred
