From-scratch brand creation breathes new life into Dayton Development Coalition’s flagship fund
It isn’t every day that an organization has the opportunity to build its identity from the ground up. The Dayton Development Coalition (DDC), an economic advocacy organization representing Greater Dayton, worked with the branding experts at Upward to develop a distinct identity for its entrepreneurial venture fund. Following comprehensive research and positioning exercises, Upward and the client set off together to “start something big” – create a brand from scratch.
Upward made full use of the treasured opportunity to build from the ground up: from naming the program (“Accelerant”), to designing a logo and complete brand standards, to developing key elements like a fully responsive website, corporate literature and event marketing materials.
The Accelerant brand encapsulates the energy and resources that matter most to prospective entrepreneurs, and Accelerant’s new collateral and web materials demonstrate all the Dayton area has to offer. With over 550 jobs created, 34 startups funded and another 20 to 30 on the horizon, the Accelerant brand is poised to represent its fund’s success for years to come.
