I'm happy to announce that Upward Brand Interactions took home some hardware Thursday night at the 2011 Ohio Interactive Awards! We received one award for the Social Media Other category and one Honorable Mention for Best Non-Profit Website.
In the Social Media Other category, our work on the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center “Hi-Point Journeys & Pathfinder” program took home first place. This online student recruitment campaign has been wildly successful and has gained attention across the country because of the risk involved with allowing students' own voices to become marketing messages about Hi-Point. The website integrates multiple technologies and social media tools, including the powerful collaborative blog platform Innoblogs. The “journeys” are told by 16 bloggers, actual Hi-Point students, each from a different curriculum track at Hi-Point.

The Pathfinder interactive experience site can be accessed directly at OhioHiPoint.com. There, students considering Hi-Point can take a personality assessment quiz of their strengths and interests. Based on how a student answers the quiz, they see dynamic programs within their chosen School, including classes to take, pics of real students in that program today, and Journeys student bloggers in similar programs or with similar strengths and interests. A customized site background and content helps a student visualize going to Hi-Point. Various conversion opportunities along the way encourage students to get in touch, take a tour and start down their own personalized path.

We also received Honorable Mention recognition in the Non-Profit Website category for its work on www.ecosportscorridor.com. This site is a super slick design packed with features.
Thanks so much to everyone who helped put together The Ohio Interactive Awards. The event was really well done and had a wonderful time. Columbus is no doubt packed with creative talent. We're honored to be a part of such a great group! Thanks to all those involved with the Hi-Point project, including: @shanehaggerty, @tom8williams, @johnfimiani and @sparklegem.
Created in 2009, the Ohio Interactive Awards celebrate and recognize Ohio’s creative talent and the exceptional work produced by the interactive marketing community. For more information on the awards, visit ohiointeractiveawards.com.
