ALL INSIGHTS

Upward Brand Interactions partnered with Michael Bowers and the Ohio SBDC last week to present on a very pressing question for many small business owners: "Does Your Website Stink?" The creatively title session focused on helping businesses understand how to evaluate a website based on today's web realities.

  • Key points of discussion included:
  • Understanding what Google sees when it looks at your site
  • The difference between good graphic designs and good information design
  • How to select back-end platforms or software, and what some good options are
  • How the web has changed in the last year, and how websites are changing to adapt

Presented by Upward's Crystal Olig and Bill Sterzenbach, the session received great marks from attendees. We hope that means that small businesses are now armed with better tools to make decisions about their web presence. Here are some selected attendee comments:

"I appreciated the comments about forgetting the technology and focusing on the brand and sitemap outline."

"The checklist was a good reminder that it is time to take action."

"All of it was very valuable."
