Let's get defensive!
If you have competitive concerns (you sometimes connect with competitors), or you simply do not wish to broadcast every time you connect with someone or change your profile, the following activities are advised.
- Turn off your activity broadcasts
- Hide your activity feed
- Hide your connections
- Hide "viewers of this profile also viewed" box
Access your settings:
Click your image in the upper-right area of the LinkedIn page. Or just click here
Step 1: Click "Privacy & Settings". Once this page displays, scroll all the way to the bottom and select "Go to previous version of settings". |

Step 2: Click "Turn on/off your activity broadcasts". Un-check the box. |

Step 3: Click "Select who can see your activity feed". Select "Only you". |

Step 4: Click "Viewers of this profile also viewed". Un-check the box. |

These steps will help ensure that you are only broadcasting your news updates rather than every connection or profile change.
